Our story
Hi, I’m Cass, and I started Power To Move, our Ridleyton community gym, in 2018.
I’m a mum of 2 teenage kids, and when they were smaller they weren’t interested in football, soccer, netball or other school sports. As a teenager, I was an athlete, so it was important to me that my children be fit and engage in some sort of activity. My husband and I joined a local gym, and could have our children attend classes with us. But we weren’t the norm, and gym’s normally do not let 8 and 10 year olds do bootcamps or boxing classes.
I didn’t want Power To Move to be yet another gym where people felt excluded because they weren’t fit enough, were too young or old, or didn’t have the same abilities as others. I wanted to create a community where everyone could work out together with no judgement.
Our main goal is to be the catalyst that helps you achieve your fitness, strength, movement and lifestyle goals, no matter who you are or what you can do.
To Inspire and nurture every person to move and feel better each day.
